We have just returned and will definitely go back. We have traveled the world and stayed in many luxury hotels, as far as service goes, this was one of the best, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet is good, with plenty of choice but the speciality restaurants make a big difference, the Japanese was our favourite. The different pools were perfect, we always went to the pool that was nearer the main building, it was quieter, there was another pool that younger people could join in activities, there was also an adult only pool. We booked a couple of trips with the hotel dive centre and really enjoyed them. One negative, when we went to snorkel, the mask’s available were very poor quality and all the clips to hold the snorkel, were missing, they did have full face masks but we don’t like to use those. We normally rent snorkelling equipment for the duration of our holidays and I would prefer to do this and get a good quality. When we return, we will take our own. This is a very minor problem. I haven’t picked out any of the staff to mention as everyone was excellent. If you are trying to choose a hotel for your holiday, you can’t go wrong if you stay here.

My experience at Steigenberger alcazar sharm al sheikh We booked our rooms through agency told that we are going to stay at one of the top 3 hotels in sharm. The lobby team was nice I asked for a ground room because i had a baby with me and they told me all rooms are booked I had to stay at the second floor and had to carry the troly or to leave it down stairs with no elevator everyday I will list the good and bad things about the hotel. I will start with the good things 1. The hotel is very luxurious 2. The food is good 3. The vibes are good 4. Room cleaning is good. The bad things- 1. The hotel team doesn't treat you the same as all guests for example if u are arab u will get a bad service than if you are from europe 2. The shower water is very weak 3. If u are arab the will set you in a far room 4. They don't smile to you unless you keep giving them tips 5. There is no real access to the sea you have to walk a-lot to swim in the red sea 6. The hotel is very very very far from all activities or central places and u have to take a cab to everywhere 7. Reception and security do not really help when u need, i had neighbors who had a speaker and it was loud music until 3am for 3 days in a row i called the reception 3 times and talked to the guys also and solved it when i said that if u dont solve it i will make a big problem 8. The furnitures are very old and broken for a 5 star elite hotel. 9. I asked the DJ to change the type of music they put , depressional Arabic music and the answer i got was that this is an elite hotel and there are foreigners who want to listen to oriental music and when i asked them if foreigners are more important than me they started to stutter and changed it. 10. The curtains in my room was stained and dirty i was disgusted to touch them 11. There is no real lights in the room the light is based on 3 lamps where you have to unplug them to charge you phone and other electronics So basically i will sum it up like this: If you have arab nationality you will get the far rooms with the pool with activities and noise ( even if u want to upgrade the room) If you are European you will get close rooms with a quieter pool If you are an elder you will get the sea view room with the relax pool ( adults only) U can pay double the price and u will still get the room you didn't want. I was in many hotels in sharm i only had this experience in two hotels which are luxurious and top ranked at booking.com

Every restaurant in the hotel is sublime and the hospitality even better, Santorini restaurant is a stand out for us. The service is incredible, my wife and I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and lucky enough to have eaten in some very highly rated restaurants. The service at Santorini is on a par with any of those restaurants. Atef is a good example of an attentive host and resonates the quality of the whole hotel.

An amazing dinner at the Santorini Restaurant, served by Atef. Every course was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and welcoming throughout the evening, making the whole experience extra special. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience and would highly recommend it!
