Beach huts and camps in Blue Lagoon

Turquoise water and nothing else around

  • Unplugging
  • Kitesurfing
  • Stargazing

The Blue Lagoon sits just north of Ras Abu Galum: a white sand spit wrapping a shallow turquoise lagoon, with nothing but mountains and desert around it. You get here by 4x4, or by boat and pickup via Dahab — not in a regular car.

Stays are in simple huts with limited power and no internet, and the nights belong to the stars. Steady wind makes it a favourite with kitesurfers, and if you want a reef, swim out a little to the lagoon's outer edge.
