Beach huts and camps in El Mahash

The little strip most people drive past

Also spelled Mahash

  • Quiet
  • Couples
  • Snorkeling

El Mahash is a small strip between Bir Sweir and Ras Shitan, with just a few camps along the shore. Most people drive right past it on the way to Ras Shitan — which is exactly why it stays so quiet.

It's Bedouin and simple: huts on the sand, a terrace facing the sea, meals served on site. The reef runs close to shore along most of the strip, so snorkeling starts almost at your doorstep. Good for anyone after space, silence and very few people.
