Ras Abu Galum is a protected nature reserve between Dahab and Nuweiba, with a small Bedouin village on a sandy beach and well-preserved coral reefs. No road runs all the way here: you walk along the coast from Dahab's Blue Hole, ride a camel, take a boat, or come in by 4x4.

Accommodation is in basic huts with limited power, and your hosts cook simple meals. In return you get some of the best snorkeling and diving in Sinai, and real silence.
