Tarabin is the long strip just north of Nuweiba town, about 50 minutes from the crossing. It has more of everything: camps and small hotels along the bay, restaurants, little shops and a seafront promenade.

This is where to stay if you want evenings with some life in them — going out to eat, sitting in a café, people-watching. Lodging ranges from basic huts to air-conditioned rooms, and town is a short ride away when you need a cash machine or a supermarket. If you're after total silence, stay further north.
