In fact, the hotel is a solid 4-star. But definitely not 5. All the waiters in the main restaurant are great. The guy making pancakes at the beach bar is rude and doesn't know how to talk to people. The food is the same all week. Of the 3 slides, only two are open. There's very little fruit: the bananas are green and rotten. No mango, no watermelon, no dragon fruit. There was cheesecake for lunch and dinner, and if you didn't manage to get one, that's it. The hotel doesn't have a large sandy beach, so there's no peace and quiet without corals. Overall, it's okay, but it's definitely not 5-star. The rooms are seriously rundown.

We vacationed in September. My husband, I, and two teenagers. The average daytime temperature was 35 degrees Celsius, and the sea felt like 27 degrees Celsius. It was perfect weather for me. We had a Family Room in the -building. It had two rooms and two bathrooms. The parents' bedroom had a balcony, while the kids' bedrooms just had a window. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The furniture was old, but we didn't care because it was clean. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel grounds are very large, beautiful, and green. The plants are watered, trimmed, and well-maintained. Sometimes we walked to our room, sometimes we took a tuk-tuk. We ate in the main restaurant. There's a second, al fresco restaurant; we went there once just to explore. We decided to eat in the main restaurant because of the air conditioning. There was plenty of food, and we never got food poisoning. Some say it's not a huge variety, but we were happy with everything. Every day there were soups, main courses, pizza, pasta, and desserts. It's just a shame there weren't any mangoes; there were other fruits. The main reason we came to this hotel was because of the reef and the diving center. I didn't want to go on excursions; they usually throw people into the water when diving. But here, we had a wonderful dive from the pier with the instructors. We paid sixty dollars per person for the dive. They gave us instructions in Russian, and everything was clearly explained. The dive itself lasted about 20 minutes. That was enough for me. The beach is very beautiful. You can swim from the pier or from the shore; it's very shallow. The pier is short, which is wonderful. There's a special 16+ zone. You have to climb up the stairs. There are three jacuzzis. The reef is simply wonderful. This is my first time in Egypt, so I have nothing to compare it to, but many people said the Eyu reef is truly rich. Someone saw a moray eel and a stingray, but I didn't see any. The staff is polite and smiling, if you're like that. If you walk around with a straight face, you'll get the same in return. Everyone smiled at us and provided excellent service. I don't recommend parachute-style rides. The ride only lasts three minutes. And we were also dropped into the water before landing. It seemed accidental, but there was no sense of safety there. You're lifted and lowered like a conveyor belt. You don't really have time to enjoy the beauty from above while you're flying. We didn't take any excursions. We spent all seven days at the hotel. The water park and pools were good. Two of the three slides were open, but they were sufficient. There were very few children. I don't know if this is because it's September or if children don't come there in general. We were fine with it. There was also a pool for 16+. We didn't swim there, but we went to have a look. We didn't go to the evening entertainment. We visited two a la carte restaurants. The Asian restaurant had a buffet. We ordered from the menu at the Italian restaurant. We liked both restaurants. There are shops on the premises. Since we didn't go out, we bought a couple of souvenirs there. We haggled. Overall, we really liked the hotel. It left a wonderful impression.

**Good resort with amazing reef, disappointing reception** Reef Oasis Blue Bay has many great features. The Panorama Terrace offers excellent service and stunning Red Sea sunset views. Sunset Court serves authentic Indian dishes with professional and attentive staff. The adults-only Relax Pool is perfect for swimming laps in the 50 m pool or simply relaxing in peace. The beach and coral reef are among the best in the area and were a highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the reception experience was disappointing. Despite booking a Deluxe Pool View room, the receptionist refused to assign the room category we had reserved. Only after the intervention of the duty manager did we receive the room we had booked. The rooms are also dated, in need of refurbishment, and smelled of cigarette smoke because smoking is permitted. Overall, we had a good stay, but it could have been much better with improved reception service and renovated rooms.
