Blue Lagoon Island

I honestly don’t understand how Blue Lagoon is not more talked about abroad, or even in Dahab itself. I’ve been to Dahab three times and never even considered coming here. I ended up here almost by chance because I was already near the Blue Hole area, and wow… this place feels unreal. The color of the water is something out of this world. It honestly feels like you’re wearing ultra-saturated sunglasses because the turquoise shades look almost too beautiful to be real. What surprised me even more is that it’s not nearly as crowded as you would expect for such an incredible place. The whole area has its own soul, very bohemian, peaceful, and authentic. I imagine this is what the original Dahab must have felt like 50 years ago. The kite surfers, the atmosphere, the scenery, everything about this place is amazing. Definitely one of the most special spots I’ve visited.

The Blue Lagoon felt like a dream. The water was unbelievably clear and calm, almost like a giant natural pool. I spent hours just floating, relaxing, and soaking in the sun. It was one of the most relaxing moments of my trip — warm breeze, soft waves, and that perfect turquoise color everywhere I looked. Pure happiness.

We pretty much "hitchiked" here both by a cab & boat :) Snorkelling is better for Blue Hole, but the view in the afternoon was magical. The sea has this amazing color. Perfect for swimming, relaxing, playing chess. I will come back here again and spend a few days here just reading my kindle and enjoy blissful slumbers.
