We had a wonderful stay at the Carmine Hotel in Dahab. The owner and all of the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The unique guitar-shaped pool is such a fun feature and the perfect place to cool off after a warm day. The rooms are lovely, clean, and comfortable, and the beds make it easy to get a good night’s sleep. I especially love the beautiful outdoor seating areas and the hotel’s colorful, relaxing décor. The entire place has a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel at home. We always look forward to coming back and would definitely recommend the Carmine Hotel to anyone visiting Dahab!

A very, very bad experience. If there were less than one, I would have given it away. I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone. The rooms are terrible. The toilet is broken, there's no shower or anything, and there's a window at the end of the room with broken glass covered by a curtain. The bed linens aren't clean, and the minibar in the two rooms we stayed in didn't work. We thought it was broken, and when we told them, they said it was just for storing food and didn't keep it cold. I wanted to put out water, cold Pepsi, chocolates, and things for the kids, and they said to take anything cold downstairs and get it when we needed it. It was absolutely disgusting, honestly. And then there was the biggest disaster: we came back around 4 PM to turn on the air conditioner, which was barely working (the fan was even better), and found it wasn't working at all. When my son went down to check it, they said the sensors were overheating, so they turned the air conditioners off to make it more comfortable. How are we supposed to sit there? In the sweltering heat and high humidity, without air conditioning because the air conditioners were overheating, it was utterly ridiculous. As soon as we arrived, he said they don't clean rooms; if you wanted to, let us know. So I asked them to find a solution for the boys' room because it smelled awful when we first entered, and the toilet smelled like sewage. All he did was spray bleach and air freshener together—the two together are awful. The boys went in, and the smell was unbearable, and they were always in our room. Another time, I asked him to clean the boys' room, and all he did was adjust the sheets, but they weren't even changed. The area around the bed wasn't clean; it was still the same. So, what did you actually clean? And then there's the complete lack of privacy. You can hear everything around you because the room windows open onto a long, wooden corridor, so you hear all the noise and din outside. You can't get any rest at all. There's a room where young people practically live in the corridor, joking, laughing, and using bad language, and nobody from the hotel management says anything to them, even though they've put up notices on the back of every door asking for quiet. The beds and wardrobes are very basic and unclean. The rooms are all dusty and never even mopped. Honestly, it's a terrible hotel. Because of the lack of cleanliness, the kids and we were so fed up we didn't even try breakfast because the basics were awful. So we'd go out early in the morning to eat breakfast outside the hotel and spend the day there. We'd only come back around 5 PM to change our clothes, and then the kids would go out again. We'd come back very late at night, barely getting a few hours of sleep because they were so fed up and uncomfortable. Even the internet is only available in the reception area, which has no air conditioning or ventilation. It was so hot and there was no room in the hotel 🤣 And we weren't staying anyway, thank God. It was a terrible recommendation from the travel agency.

  • The worst hotel ever, and the service was terrible. Only the young staff were decent. There were cigarette butts on the bed, and the host told me to do what the previous guest had done. The bathroom was filthy and smelled awful. I asked him to send someone to put on some air freshener or something, and he said okay, but no one came. I asked him to change the bed sheet multiple times, and he kept saying okay, but no one came. Then, at night, he came carrying heavy things and told me this gate was closed and to go to the other one. What do you mean, a gate is closed? Does any hotel lock its gate?! And the pool, I swear to God, the water was filthy and there were dead insects in it, and the water was never changed.
